Safety of machinery

This community is for individuals and companies that sell or want to sell machinery on the European Union market, as well as for machinery users and people responsible for safety in industrial plants.

We will focus on EU regulations concerning the safety of machinery, such as the Machinery Directive 2006/42/WE and the new Regulation (EU) 2023/1230.

We will discuss the obligations of machinery manufacturers who wish to place their products on the European market.

We will also look at the obligations of employers who make machinery available to their employees.

Finally, we will review the most important harmonised safety standards, the application of which allows for the presumption of conformity with the Machinery Directive.
