Wailing Women Intercessors

Wailing Women Intercessors are a Spirit-led movement of women called to a specific, deep level of spiritual warfare and prophetic intercession. Rooted in the biblical mandate found in Jeremiah 9:17–20, they are characterized by "skillful lament"—the ability to mourn and intercede on behalf of nations, families, and the Church to provoke divine intervention.
Key Characteristics
• Biblical Foundation: They identify with the "cunning women" or "skillful lamenters" called by God to weep when a nation faces spiritual or physical crisis.
• The "Wail": This is not merely an emotional outburst but a deep, Spirit-led travail. It is considered a laboring in prayer to "give birth" to God’s purposes or to see strongholds broken.
• Apostolic and Prophetic Focus: Their intercession is rarely personal; it focuses on societal transformation, repentance, and the restoration of biblical standards in government and the global Body of Christ.
Core Function
We are to stand as "gatekeepers” (Ezekiel 22:30).
