Konnected by Autism & Faith
My name is Nadeen, and I started this community because I know exactly what it’s like to parent a child on the autism spectrum while juggling a demanding career, household responsibilities, and everything else life throws at you. I’ve spent over a decade as a high school educator, leading students through rigorous academic courses while simultaneously navigating the often-unspoken chaos of autism parenting. I’m also an adoptive foster care mom, a working mom, and a firm believer that while autism was not my choice, I was chosen to be the mother who could advocate, endure, and champion what my daughter needs.
I don’t run on endless energy. I run on faith, grit, caffeine, instinct, and stubborn hope. Some days, those stay in that order. Other days, the caffeine comes first.
