Basketball starts mentally before the body ever makes a motion. It starts with the vision or the dream. The belief it’s achievable is one of the most important parts of basketball & the responsibility of the coach. Great coaching comes from encouragement, direction & life guidance. It doesn’t start or end on the court. You must be willing to accept the mission. Desmon “Coach D” Bonaparte embodies these principles & created his own league to develop & showcase these local young talents that are often overlooked. They are seperated in teams, they get the pro experience with draft night, cameras, interviews & a season documentary filmed about them. So many athletes just want to hoop, & when they learn that basketball is a business it can ruin their love for the game. Creating a safe space to develop, enjoy the game & hone their professional acumen early, all the while competing for a championship trophy & ring is what we offer at the DDL.
