The Story Exchange

The Story Exchange is an intergenerational learning community that supports students participating in The Life Story Project while welcoming older adult storytellers to engage in shared learning and connection. Here, students explore aging and ageism, connect with older adults through shared stories, and learn from lived experience. Student volunteers engage in guided learning about aging and interview skills, then reflect on the insights and perspectives gained through storytelling sessions. Participants come from diverse settings, including high schools, colleges, senior living communities, senior centers, and retiree associations.
