Welcome to GOLD Nuggets of Communication.

This is a quiet space for people who are already self-aware, already trying, and still exhausted by conversations that cost more than they should.

I built this framework because I was the problem.

For most of my life I was the sharp-tongued Driver who kept pushing people away without understanding why. I had no idea my directness, which came entirely from wanting to help — was landing like tiny cuts on the people I cared about most. I thought I was being clear. I was actually being untranslated.

Fifteen years ago I walked into a training conference and had an epiphany that changed every relationship I have: I had never once considered the other person's communication pattern. Not once.

Combined with thirty years as a hairstylist — one of the most honest communication environments that exists — I developed the GOLD framework from what I observed in real people having real conversations.
