Agencies often feel like progress. There is structure and language. Over time, thinking is outsourced. Strategy becomes something you receive, not something you own. When results disappoint, the response is always more testing, more data, more time. It sounds rational, but never resolves.

The real cost is judgment. The ability to say no. The sense of direction. Marketing starts happening to you. The more professional it looks, the harder it becomes to question.

Marketing feels complex because thinking was handed to systems. Tools promised clarity. Data promised certainty. They created distance instead.
