Life with Parrots

I love my parrots 🦜 ❤️ They give me a reason to get up and care what I do in the day. They have become my dearest friends. I'd like to say it's easy, but it can be a challenge. Especially if someone is having a particularly bad day. But like all creatures, if you watch them and get to know them, it helps minimize potential bites and bad behaviors.

Number 1 rule, get to know your parrot. Talk to them before you start grabbing for them. Keep you hands put of their cage unless you are cleaning it. Let them decide when they should step up or pull some trick. Find out what seed or nut or fruits & veggie they l favor and withhold it except for training. Birds can be very food motivated. 😁

A couple of mine are PIGS! And will do what I ask for a nut, or sun/safflower seed.
