I retired after 26.5 years in a high-stress government career. I was grateful to retire, but I quickly learned something no one talks about enough: retirement income is not the same as working income.

I didn’t want another 9–5. I didn’t want more stress. And I definitely didn’t want to feel embarrassed asking questions or learning something new — especially tech.
