The Academy is operated by The Upstate Sound Music Group, a Nashville-based music company and Grammy-winning publisher. Everything taught here comes from real experience - working with artists, managing catalogs, and navigating the business side of music in real time.
At the center of the Academy is The Artist Systems Handbook, a practical framework designed to help you think clearly, plan intentionally, and move forward with purpose. Alongside it, you’ll find guidance and discussion meant to help you avoid common mistakes and see the bigger picture.
