This is isn't anything ground breaking, but it might help some of you know that AI systems work in units called tokens. Typically, they are a bit shorter than a word. What that means is that it takes a few tokens to make up a word, and many tokens to make up a sentence. The more tokens you use, the less are available (remember there are tokens used to understand what you type and tokens used to generate a response).
The more tokens you use to write a more specific question, the better result you get. But, if you spend those tokens on things that aren't really making the question more precise, you are wasting tokens at best, and at worst, you are lowering the quality of your answer.
The key is get another AI (LLM) to rework your question.
Quick tactic here. Use a higher powered model to both rewrite and plan your questions. With Claude I will use Opus to plan and rewrite questions, and then use Sonnet for the bulk of the work. Most times I get way better results!
