That abandoned self now chases approval, control, success, and excess just to feel “okay.”

This single pattern is at the root of so much pain: difficult relationships, emotional suffering, toxic dynamics, greed, conflict, and the endless external fixes (more laws, more rules, better systems) that never seem to truly work.
